In the 19th century the area was dependant on horse and coaches to carry people and merchandise from the train station in Pwllheli. It was the Tirgwenith Coach that was later replaced by the bus that would travel to Llangwnnadl through Nefyn and Edern. The Tirgwenith coaches’ coupler can be seen at Pen y graig.
